1. Scope
Studio Sadola ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting personal information handled through our websites, products, sales sites, and contact channels. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle that information.
2. Information We Collect
When you purchase a product license, we collect the email address used to send your License Key and provide support. Stripe, Inc. directly processes payment information such as card numbers, and we do not retain card information.
When a product license is activated, we collect the License Key, a Machine Code generated from device hardware information, and the operating system type. When a free trial is started, we collect the Machine Code. The Machine Code hashes hardware identifiers; the underlying hardware information itself is not sent. The Machine Code is sent to register the free trial when the trial starts. Details are stated in each product's privacy details.
For License Activation, starting a trial, and other communications with our APIs, we process the source IP address for rate limiting to prevent abuse. We do not retain this source IP address.
When you contact us, we collect your email address, optional name, and inquiry content. For the waitlist, we collect your email address, locale, optionally provided operating system, use case, beta preference, confirmation and unsubscribe status, and confirmation-email delivery status.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
Our products are designed to run on your own device, apart from the communications set out in each product's privacy details, such as license verification. They do not automatically send us the data a product works with (audio, documents, and other input, together with the results of processing it), usage statistics, operation history, or error logs.
When a product can send diagnostic information, it is sent only if you choose to send it, after you review the contents in a preview. Which items are included, and which are never sent, differ by product and are stated in that product's privacy details.
4. Purposes of Use
We use collected personal information only to issue and send License Keys; authenticate and manage licenses and trials; provide product update and release notices; respond to inquiries; confirm and manage waitlist subscriptions and unsubscribes; send confirmation email and manage delivery status; measure access without cookies; operate securely; comply with law; and handle disputes.
5. Third-Party Provision and Service Providers
We do not provide personal information to third parties except with your consent or as required by law. To operate our services, we engage Stripe, Inc. for payment processing, Resend, Inc. for confirmation and other email delivery, and Cloudflare, Inc. for websites, APIs, security, and cookieless access measurement.
These providers may handle personal data through servers, affiliates, or subprocessors located in the United States and other countries or regions. We use them only as necessary, require safeguards by contract or other appropriate means, and review how they handle personal data. Contact [email protected] for details.
6. Security Measures
To prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information, we use encrypted communications (HTTPS/TLS), access controls (API keys and webhook signature verification), data minimization, irreversible hashing of hardware information, operations that do not retain secrets in logs, and service-provider management.
Diagnostic data submitted to support is automatically deleted 90 days after submission. Inquiry bodies and email addresses are anonymized one year after the inquiry is resolved. Email addresses are stored encrypted. We do not retain source IP addresses; only rate-limiting counters are retained for 60 seconds.
7. Disclosure, Correction, and Deletion
You may request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or deletion of personal information we retain about you. Contact [email protected]. We will respond in accordance with applicable law after verifying your identity.
8. Cookies and Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for access measurement. It is designed not to use cookies for analytics. We use browser local storage to retain the display theme. We do not use behavioral advertising or tracking cookies from third-party advertising networks.
9. Contact and Policy Updates
For questions about personal information handling, contact [email protected]. We may update this Policy. The updated Policy takes effect when posted on this Site. For significant changes, we will provide notice on the Site and display the last updated date and revision history.
10. Product-Specific Privacy Details
This Policy applies to all Studio Sadola products and services. For products that verify licenses or send diagnostic information, we publish privacy details on that product's site, covering product-specific handling such as what is collected and when it is sent. The documents published so far are linked below. Where a product publishes no privacy details, this Policy alone applies to it.
